I understand protecting the boxer from getting critically injured, but the referee stopped the fight too soon. When he grabbed Ray the ref should've just broke it up. But for Ray to have gone 9 rounds and finally got his groove, the fight should've just been left to go on for those final 30+ rounds of the 9th. I hate controversial stoppages!
